The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra places as its highest priority the safety and well-being of our staff, musicians and visitors. As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to have a rapidly evolving impact across the globe, we want to make you aware that we are closely monitoring new developments, will continue to reevaluate our steps and actions daily, and are prepared to alter our procedures should the situation change.
At this time, there have been no confirmed cases of the virus in our region so no changes are planned to the Heinz Hall and Pittsburgh Symphony performance calendars or European Tour. If cases arise in our area, we will follow the guidance of public health officials. At the same time, we want to make you aware of some specific guidance that the Pittsburgh Symphony is following:
- Importantly, we will continue to follow the recommendations set by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Allegheny County Health Department, the State Department, the WHO, as well as other government and public health agencies with regards to our information and practices. We are making sure that our employees and audiences have the information they need to stay healthy and to make informed decisions.
- Heinz Hall uses advanced cleaning and disinfection on a regular basis, and we have increased the frequency and extent of the cleanings.
- In order to offer increased flexibility at this time, all ticket exchange fees will be waived until May 31, 2020.
As a Subscriber we offer you the following options:
- Exchange your tickets to an upcoming performance. We are happy to exchange your tickets for one of the many upcoming 2019–2020 season performances of comparable value, based on availability.
- Bank your tickets. Unsure what you'd like to exchange into? Contact your PSR and bank your tickets to use toward another performance this season.
- Donate your ticket. As a nonprofit arts organization, the Pittsburgh Symphony relies on the audience we serve. By donating your tickets in lieu of a refund, you are providing vital support for the music and musicians that inspire and connect our community. Please consider donating your tickets back to the Pittsburgh Symphony and receive a donation receipt.
As an individual concert ticket-holder we offer the following option:
- Exchange your tickets to an upcoming performance. We are happy to exchange your tickets for one of the many upcoming 2019–2020 season performances of comparable value, based on availability. Contact the Heinz Hall box office at 412.392.4900.
- Receive a voucher. Unsure what you'd like to exchange into? Contact the Heinz Hall box office and ask to receive a voucher to use within the remaining 2019-2020 season.
In the event of a cancellation, we'll notify all ticketholders by email and/or phone at least four hours before the concert. The latest updates will be posted here and the Pittsburgh Symphony outgoing voicemail will also be updated if there are any changes to the schedule.
